MAF questions

Ive got a 88 GTA with 358 with a mild cam and head work. Ive been getting code 36 which is mass airflow burnoff. If i clear the codes and fire it up it goes away till i shut it off once i restart the car it comes on right away and i can smell fuel like its running way to rich im looking at a new MAF sensor right now just wondering if im on the right track or should i just do the relays? Any info would be great thanks.

Re: MAF questions

Nevermind I figured it out.. Least i hope so.. The reason i smelt fuel was cause it was missing on a cylinder due to a bad set of sparkplug wires.. I restarted the car and the code went off.. Anyone use Taylor 8mm sparkplug wires?
