My Camaro has a problem with oil pressure (probably because the bearings are worn out) and I'm coming up to my next oil change and need some advice on what kind of oil to run. When I first got the car about a year ago it had something like 5w-30 or 10w-30 and oil pressure ran low at about 10 psi idle. My dad insisted I run 20w-50 when we changed the oil when we got it. That worked decent in the winter months but now its that its summer I don't know if I need to use conventional 20w-50 again. From a cold start at idle the oil pressure runs about 55-60psi, but as the engine warms up it drops as low as 20-25psi. Long story short, should I stick with something like synthetic 20w-50 or should I run a lower viscosity oil?

Yeah. The engine has been run pretty hard by the kid who owned it last. I figured though instead of putting the same old 2.8 down in there I would buy a 3.4L out of a 1993-1995 Firebird with the seats and dash, but until then I guess I have to keep my camaro running.
