The cam has a duration of 202 on intake and 206 on exhaust(both measured at .050) the lift is .403 for intake .415 for exhaust, and a a lobe separation angle of 114.5

That is unless you have the smaller cam that they put in the auto LB9. You can tell which cam you have by looking at where the engine red lines. Engines with the bigger cam I believe red line at 5500rpm and yellow line is at 5000RPM. Engines with the smaller cam red line at 5000 rpm and have a yellow line at 4500 rpm.
Here is a link to the cam shaft data for our cars:

Re: stock cam specs??

Ignore the tech data, whatever is there is likely wrong. I'm not even going to go there and look what it says.

The stock cam in all 85 LB9's was the 'HO' cam, with the specs posted above. They only used that cam in 1985, and they only used the puny 'peanut' cam in 1986, then went to rollers and different profiles for stick and auto in 87-up to some point where they started using the same cam and it gets really messy.

Re: stock cam specs??

85 TPI's all have the good cam, not the smaller cam. 85IROC-Z is correct.
