Camaro Fuel Pump Question????

I have a fuel pump out of an 89 Camaro RS with a 2.8 MPFI. My fuel pump went out in my 88 IROC with the 350 TPI. Can i use the fuel pump out of my 89 RS? Will it pump enough GPH, and will it pump enough pressure? The IROC is stock, other than a fresh rebuild.

Re: Camaro Fuel Pump Question????

The short answer is no. They call for different part numbers. The pump bodies themselves will interchange, but they won't be able to support the 5.7L engine. So, if you do it, you'll be replacing it again before long. I definitely do not recommend swapping it.
