Trouble Code 24 VSS sensor?

Transmission: TKO600
Axle/Gears: Strange S60 3.73
Trouble Code 24 VSS sensor?
My car has code 24 which is for the Vehicle Speed Sensor. What exactly causes this code and could this be the cause of my car feeling very slow when driving it? How do I go about fixing this code also?

Have you checked the connection at the VSS ?

If you're not moving when the code sets, disregard (according to my 85 shop manual). Mine would set, then go off after a block or so. I never experienced any driving issues.

Where would the vss be located on my car (85 Camaro)? I am moving when the code sets.
