Rear end

Not sure if this was covered or not, but I have a 94 z28 with 3:73's and posi. My 1992 Camaro is 2:73, and limited slip. Would the rear end from my 94 or any 4th gen fit without modification? What about the dimensions? Will the 4th gen rear end stick out beyond belief?

Re: Rear end

A 4th gen diff is roughly 2" wider on each side. It is a direct bolt in to a third gen but proper offset wheels are needed or else the third gen wheels will stick out.

There's no increased strength between a 92 and a 96 differential. Both use the same size ring gear. Both use the same diameter axles. You'll be better off just swapping the posi and gears.
