Quick question on a underdrive pully?

What is it, I know its somewhere on the serpentine belt line, but in this article, "How to Remove Your Smog Pump From Your Serpentine Belt Equipped Third Gen."
it said "If you have an underdrive pully you will need Dayco pn# 935K6 which is actually shorter than the stock belt by one inch." and Im confused what that is, and I think I need the 96.8" 6 rib belt for my Serpentine belt line for taking off the smog pump (or as I think I do)

Thanks,

Tim

935 is 93.5" long, K6 is 6 rib serpentine.

No, it isnt. That should be the 96.8" belt if Pablo read the thing right and I'm pretty sure he did.

ok, that looks right, but me and my dad tried putting on that belt (the 96.8"belt) and its still too short,
why is that?
and will this change the rotation of the water pumping that was original way it is pumping?

Then you guys probably routed it incorrectly.
The above pic is the correct routing and no it will not change the rotation of the water pump. The routing between stock and AIR delete is different.

I used the shorter belt from the tech article and it worked fine for me.

Re: Quick question on a underdrive pully?

hmm, My father and me tried again this morning, and it's still too short, We followed the rotation and it still wont fit, BUT my father made his own rotation with the belt, and it works, it still all goes the right rotation, I turned on the car and it works perfect, hot rodded the car up the Ramon highway and ran better then it did before, (other then a little belt whining, but I barely noticed it, I was trying to listen very carefully.)

Re: Quick question on a underdrive pully?

Rotation of the accessories is determined by what side of the belt they're riding on. Backside=reverse.
