compression ratio
i am tuning my car right now and not sure what the compression would be, i dont have a compression checker. i know my motor came with 9.7 to 1 compression ratio but then i put thicker multi layer steel head gaskets on it.

It won't have changed much. The only way to know what it is for sure is to disassemble the engine and measure, but I'm sure you don't care enough to do that.

If that. There's more variability in stock compression ratios due to manufacturing tolerances than you've introduced with a slightly different head gasket.

well i bought an accel dfi kit for my car, but i decided to return it and just put a 3 bar map sensor on the car now. so i am going to have tpis burn me a chip since i have no idea how to do it myself. tpis ask's for the compression ratio to burn me a custom chip.

Ah, anywhere in the ballpark is ok then. They're just going take a wild guess at what your car needs anyway.
