Got what I think is a starter problem
Okay so first of all I got a 3.1 with a T-5 blah blah. Okay so let's say I go out in the morning to start my car, when I start it, the starter turns the engine for about 1 second and it like locks up for a second, and it will do this for maybe 2 or 3 more times then she starts right up. Sometimes when the engine is warmed up I have no problem. So tonight, on my way home, I'm downshifting and I was in third and was going to neutral with no clutch the car just died. Came to a stop and tried to start it, and it sounds like when you try to start a car that's already started. Please tell me all I need is a new starter. It seems the starter isn't engaging anymore and it just sits there and spins. Thanks for any help!

Awesome. I actually have a starter from a automatic. I did a engine swap from a 2.8 to a 3.1, the 3.1 was automatic. I converted it to a manual to go with the T-5 I already had in the car. Should I modify the automatic starter and just use that one? It's only about a month old.

Sounds like the starter is bad. Bad starter isn't going to normally cause your car to stall though. Could be the bendix was stuck in the flywheel causing enough drag to stall the motor. I would think that would make some noise though.
