ECM harness question (crossfire)

I am removing the ecm in my 82 crossfire Z

I have a wire going down out of sight on the drivers side and also have wires going down and out of site on the passenger side.

I am removing the ecm and all associated wiring and wonder where these go and whether I may need to keep them for some reason. I am thinking the VSS and possibly fuel pump but I have no way to tell

Any ideas?

Re: ECM harness question (crossfire)

I would get pics but really it is just a wire on the right side going down and another on the left

Can anyone tell me how to check what these do?

What color are they and where do they start stop, as best you can determine? These cars have 50-60 wires per side that go all over the place, so your description is of no help

Photos might help. I do have the 82 service manual, and a crossfire sitting in the garage, with all the original wiring.

There probably are few guys on this board that would be more than happy to get a complete Crossfire wire harness, especially the engine compartment. I will have to see if I can find their handles for you.
