Coolant Temp sensor for ECU

I'm in the process of converting to fuel injection and I'm figuring out all the sensor locations. My question is regarding the coolant temp sensor and its location. My intake is sorta custom and right now there is not a place for on the coolant crossover. I was going to put it in the head where the fan switch would be. I guess the key to the location is proper coolant flow. I'm concerned that if I put it there it might be in a stagnate area, although with it in the head would it be a more accurate reading? If not I can make a spot for it on the manifold. Would taking a reading from the coolant passages in the head give a more accurate reading to the temperature?

Thanks...

you sound like you get very technical

find something else to work your brain because it does not matter as much as you think

get into porting your heads. it sounds like you have the mind for it

do you have the hands though

Hahahaha. Thanks, yea I guess I'm fairly technical. I'm an ME, so technical by nature. Maybe, I'll setup a couple test probes at various locations in the cooling system to monitor temp. Maybe.
Not going to touch the heads, they're AFR's, should be good to go. However, I did port the Vic Jr.
