looking to build a 350-400HP 350ci
Im using a roller block off an '87-'89 Corvette and the Holley Stealth Ram manifold. Should I bore to 355? What heads, cam, and headers should I use to achieve this power level and still maintain driveability? looking for a street car with reasonable fuel mileage. also, what would be a good stall for the converter and ring and pinion ratio for this setup?

3.42 gear, 2800-3000 stall will be perfect for a 350-400hp motor, assuming thats at the motor right? looking at 280-350ish at the wheel?
for heads, a mild ported stock setup will work. if you can get 113 vette aluminum heads and port those, then that will work great
cam like a ZZ9 or similar will be awesome too. you wont need much to get at 350hp on motor.
All that will be very driveable. for a slightly more aggressive setup looking near 400hp on ported vette 113 heads, i'd run CC503 cam. driveable but definately can hear a cam in that motor for sure
If you have more of a budget, get some good aftermarket heads that can flow. Dart Pro 1's, brodix IK180-200's, AFR 195's etc. AFR's i like the most
combine it with a XFI268 cam and your looking at easy 400hp on motor and yet be VERY tame and get good mileage.
with weaker flowing heads, you need more cam and driveability will suffer. with good heads, you can get more flow with smaller cams to make same power and still have good driveabilty. So if you can afford it, go aftermarket and setup those heads with the XFI cam. you will NOT be dissappointed

thanks for the info. I'll invest in the better heads. What 1/4 mile estimate should I expect from that setup?
