Re: help I keep blowing fuses.

get a wiring diragram and trace it out. u probably have a burnt or cut wire somewhere...something is going to ground....whatever u do dont just put a bigger fuse in it seek out the source of the short....there is no quick and easy way about it so get to searching have fun and good luck...

Re: help I keep blowing fuses.

So it's the ctsy circuit..
Disconnect and check for a short in the cig lighter first.
Then check the wiring to the radio, interior lights, hatch release, cargo light, door locks, horn, power mirrors, clock, & power antenna.
Even if you don't have all the accessories the wiring to it may still be there.
It's all orange wires.

Re: help I keep blowing fuses.

after I check the light should I check behind the fuse box. I notice that some wires have tape on them that could be the cause but the wires that are taped are blue.

Re: help I keep blowing fuses.

I have no idea about the history of your car but maybe you can look for any wire that looks 'out of place'. Maybe one that is NOT in a bundle. Maybe RED in color. The idea is that possibly someone mounted a device that needed power in the past, they tapped into an already fused circuit (the one that keeps blowing fuses for you), then later removed the device and simply cut the device's power cable and let it 'dangle' somewhere (like under the dash). Maybe you will see mounting holes with no screws as a clew that something was installed then removed. You might monitor the shorted side of the removed fuse compared to ground and reach around under the dash and shake some of the wire and watch for the short to disappear. If you see the indicator go from 'short' to 'no short' then you may be able to look more closely in that area. Hope you find the problem and let us know what you found.

UPDATE: You found the problem. That was fast. Nice work.
