5.0 TPI Morning Question
Greetings!
Back with another question on my brother's 5.0 TPI T/A.
Most of the previous issues he was having with it have been resolved with replacing the computer and PROM. However, now there's an interesting extra piece that may have been there the whole time, or just now decided to pop up.
First time the car is started for the day (Or after sitting for 6-7 hours) it will run normally for a while, then the check engine light will pop on, and it will have a hard time accelerating, and almost sounds like it's back firing when it tries to go above 2k RPM. If it's allowed to just idle, the car will stall out and die, but will continue to run if the throttle is "babied". If you stall or shut it off for around 5 minutes, and start it back up again, it will run normally and seems to run in perfect shape.
When I flash out the codes, it gives me 42 and 43.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Miah

Re: 5.0 TPI Morning Question
Thanks - The TSB on the Bugged PROM that was in there was very helpful - I'll check that out and see if that takes care of it.
Just incase though - any other suggestions?

Re: 5.0 TPI Morning Question
this is the tech article on IAC and TPS adjustment, either one could cause similar issues.
