My car is making a weird sound and is running rough. The sound is like sputtering someone help i dont know whats going on or wht to check...

 

We're going to need to know more about the car. Year, engine, transmission etc. Also, you say it sounds like it's sputtering, have you done anything to it, maintenance wise or added any aftermarket stuff to it? Are any of your idiot lights on (Check engine?) Have you had the code checked? Also, when does it sputter? only at idle? Will the car actually drive? What does it sound like when driving? The same or does it smooth out?

 

Its a 1989 camaro rs v6. I dont know what kind of transmission is in it but according to the guy is rebuilt i think hes lieing because i have trouble with that. I havent added anything new to it no idiot lights havent checked the codes. It sputters at idle and its like missing too the car drives just runs rough though it sounds like crap when you accerlate but then smooths out i guess when your on the freeway but you can hear something is wrong with it.
