Serp belt.. What size do I need

Serp belt.. What size do I need

Just wondering what serp belt size I need as I have a set of march underdrive pulleys and and ac delete pulley. And is there a way to eleminate the ac delete pulley as well. Thanks

There's no way for us to know. You need to take a piece of string and run it along the belt's path and then measure it.

Correct, but take note of the tensioner - you should have someone pull it roughly 1/2 back when you measure it, so you take the tensioner into account. Measuring w/o moving the tensioner back will result in a belt thats too long.

Just find out the length you need, and the number of ribs, and any competent parts guy should be able to find it.

The part number the belts sell by is actually the belts 'specs'... length, # ribs, etc.

If you just give them the length (in inches, not feet, and to the nearest 1/4") and # of ribs, they should be able to find you something close (they come in 1/4" measurement incriments usually).
