oil leakquest

oil leakquest

hey guys im back! im having oil leaking onto my starter and lil bit on oil pan. i replaced valve cover gasket twice, oil pan twice, intake, and resealed the oil sending unit to. is there a bolt or something that is by the starter? im getiing frustrated. thanks guys

since it seems that you covered the major areas, have you checked the oil filter and gasket. the reason i ask is that one time the gasket off of the old oil filter stuck to the block and i put the new filter on (with the new gasket) and it leaked. i took it off and saw the two gaskets, peeled the one that was on there previously off and no leak.

have you been torqueing everything to specs?

its a long shot, but may be worth checking out.

the oil filter is on the drivers side, the oil leak is coming from the pass side. ya i torqued to specs, and evrn let it set a day after each gasket i replaced and used rtv with

ok guys i looked and its only wet in the are of the starter. blocks dy, and every oil place with a gaket is dry. i pulled the inspection cover off and let it run fpr 30 mins. no drips... i dont kno what to do, im takin it for a spin now to see if it leaks.....

and wouldnt u kno it, it frealin leaks... its leaking all over the top and looks to be rolling to the bottom of the starter.. selinoid and wires are soaked to... possible dipstick issue?

oil is leaking around where the pan where dipstick goes into the pan. do i gotta pull pan again to get it to seal?
