Need more grunt
Ok Y'all here is my issue. I have a new crate 305 in my 87 bird. I put it in when I was in California so i put new AIR lines and all the emissions stuff on.Runs great, but now I am in PA and I don't need all the emissions stuff anymore. I took off the air pump and capped the AIR system tubes, gutted the cat and replaced the T-stat with a high flow 160 rating. My question is how can I get more out of this girl. I want to know if anyone has a good idea on what intake works best with what carb and will it clear the stock hood. I want to do headers too but which way do I go? Can I use different heads like on (gulp) Fords?
Any ideas you guys could give me would be great!

The edelbrock performer edl-2101, edelbrock 625 or smaller carb or holley 600Vac Sec, Shorty headers with 1 1/2 primaries worked really good on my 88 TA 305 sm blk and I use 416 heads with larger 1.60 exh. valves.
