have a 89 irocz, l98, 2.73, 700r4.
am replacing l98, bought a 350 crate, 260 hp, got a set of heads,
small valves, three angle job, pocket ported, 1.5/8 ets headers
coated. the crate is a roller engine. i would like good lower and mid range grunt and good idle, its a daly driver, i was going to leave the top stock except for a afpr. if needed i can change later for more grunt,, now which of the hundreds of cams should
i use. the one that came in the crate is way too small, so it goes..
i really don't care about max hp just lots of grunt... but remember it still has to idle and go to town every day...

how about a zz4 cam..... also i have a hyper chip 2

 

The zz4 is a relatively small cam. You can go with the LT4 hot cam or the Comp 08-302. The comp will give you a little better idle and daily driveability, but the LT4 isn't bad.

 

nasty, i see you have a zz4, are you happy with it or after the fact you would use a different one.... where your headers easy to install, any adjustments have to be made and did you get them coated and did you get a y pipe with them.... do you like the power of your combo, what would change,,, is it a good driver and did you get a custom chip... tks
