What Engine is This?
I got this new engine from a junkyard and the junkyard said it was out of 85 Camaro.
That is BS because the heads are center bolt so we're dealing with at least an 87.
All I know about it so far is that It's a 305cid.
The casting number is 14093627.
What year did this come out of and will it work properly if dropped into an 85?

the two center intake bolts on both sides of the intake are splayed differently, edelbrock and holley both make intakes for that engine to put a carb on, or you can oval out the holes on your excisting intake and get the spacers to accomodate for the different angle, otherwise it should work fine

Re: What Engine is This?
It's a complete engine.
This has a different valvetrain from the one that was in the car.
Wouldn't this means the ECM would need a tune?

What car (year, induction) are you putting the engine in?
I'd be concerned about exactly what engine you were sold. Pull a valve cover and get the head casting #'s as well. Most likely you got an LO3 TBI engine.

Re: What Engine is This?
Let's assume for a second that this engine I got (I'm going to see it tomorrow) is a complete turn key engine and has a TPI setup.
Will this work properly in my 1985 Z28 minus a new flex plate (But I believe this engine already has that on it)
