I got cracked piston in a 350 i have. Forged ones too. But anyway i need to get a running motor cheap so i found a 87 roller block out of trans am with upgraded cam and about 17k miles on it for $400-500. Currently i have a set of 041 double hump heads with 64 cc combustion chamber. What will the compression be on original 87 block?

Since both the 083's and 041's have 64cc chambers, same as with the 083's.
Why would you bother changing them? Something wrong with the '87 heads?

Re: stock 87 350 with 041 heads
Thanks for the info.
I was just making sure it would work. The 87 block had set of trickflow heads on it but it's extra $900 for those heads so i wanted to see if what i have would work.
I was quoted $900 to get the piston replaced and block freshened up, and just trying to find cheaper alternative that would work for time being
