A/C deletion Q's
On my '85 Z28 I am removing the A/C, and I have a few general Q's about it. I have already removed the condenser and the compressor, and I was wondering about getting rid of the unit on my firewall. Will there be a big hole there if i take it off and just replace it with a unit from a car that only had a heater? If so, is there a kit to get rid of the hole, or a kit kit that includes a blower motor and heater core? Also, when I get rid of my A/C will I have any dysfunctional vents in my car? Any other advice for me? I know lots of people remove their A/C, any advice from them?

Re: A/C deletion Q's
Would like to know this too... I installed a 1LE heater box with blower... Looks great under the hood. Prob is, none of the heater controls work!!! Maybe the wiring was messed up... Will have to re-check all that.
Anybody have issues with this? Got my box from thirdgenerationusa.

hellz_wings, when you put the heater box in your car, were there any holes in the firewall where the A/C box was before? can you send pics?

will do in a bit right now working, but will go out and take a pic in a bit. although i dont recall there were any holes. It was an extremely clean install. Cleans up the engine compartment quite a bit. Only concern is functionality now. Havent got it to work yet. Im hoping i dont have to buy new non-ac heater controls for the console.

thanks. for the non-A/C heater controls in the console you can just take one from a junkyard, they are very common.
