what direction do i go

86 ta q-jet i have a slight hesitation at low rpms and it vibrates in drive at red lights no check engine light being thrown not sure what direction to look in for this problem

If that carb is original, I'd rebuild it.

Give it a full tune up, fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor.
Also check your timing.
Now wouldn't be a bad time to go with a performance plugs, wires, along with a coil.
