Serpentine bracket removal

ok, Im swapping in a sbc 350 soon and will have to take off my old 305 brackets from the motor. i know I need reverse torx sockets and torx bits but I am confused on how I am going to leave the p/s pump in the car when i swap brackets? It looks like there is a bolt that holds it to the block that goes through the pump too. and to get to that bolt I woul dhave to remove the pump pully seems like a lot of work.

Don't fight with the pulley if you don't have to.
I left the pump bolted to the bracket, disconnected the hoses, unbolted and swapped the whole assy to my "new" engine. It was easy.
Tip:
If the torx head bolts are too tight (mine were), don't strip the head. Take a punch that fits inside the star and whip it with a hammer.

Re: Serpentine bracket removal

Why does your power steering pump have a high pressure a/c switch?Perhaps your thinking of your a/c compressor.

Got it, as supervisor42 says just leave the pump on until you remove the bracket.
