(Build) Will these work together
Until I do a auto-man swap Im gonna run a 700R4. Stock 350 bottom end, Vortec heads, Comp cams XE268H complete kit with lifter springs and all, Speed Demon 650 and a dual plane intake of choice. First off does this sound like a decent combo? To run this cam do I have to have an 87+ block? And will those springs work on the Vortec heads? Thanks for any input, if Im stupid and made bad choices please speak up!

As far as I know, that cam is a hydraulic flat tappet. Therefore, you don't want to put it in an 87+ block (cause they use hydraulic roller cams).

Gotcha, thanks for the heads up. If thats the case then I will have an easier time. As I read more into this Im unsure of intake. Can someone suggest a good intake to match that cam. I was thinking edelbrock performer EPS because it works with the vortec heads.

Performer RPM.
I have an xe268h with lifters collecting dust in my garage. used for about 1000 miles, lifters matched to lobes. Let me know if you're interested in saving a few bucks.
