...or the clutch assembly. Best bet is to change the trans mount if it's the original, to eliminate that. It's cheap and easy to change.
...and hope it isn't the clutch.

Re: need your help!!!!

i doubt its the tranny mount, you would know if it was because when you hit the gas the shifter would kinda walk up outta your hand, when the engine torques the trans would lift up and bounce when you let go of the gas, check it but it sounds more like clutch chatter as the above mentioned

simply because its when you put a heavy load on the clutch from a dead stop and your putting all the power through it to turn the wheels, you can take a look at the mount but its doubtful, im replacing my mount with a polyurethane one from Energy Suspension because even the ones you get that are "OEM " are weak and flex alot

i actually did notice that the shifter would rise up when i hit the gas but that was the day i ended up fixing it because first it lasted for a while just vibrating. i actually had to put a cross member from a trans am 5 speed tpi because the one mine had was a really strange looking bushing it was round and it had some type of hydrolic fluid inside and it wasn't available in any auto parts stores and it was 250 in the chevy dealership. so now it has a trans am crossmember
