1.5 Full rollers under stock valve covers?

I'm assuming that I'm OK. Im still in the process of getting everything ready to fire off the HSR, but she still aint there yet. I kept meaning to ask this, I got some full roller 1.5 rockers from either comp or crane, I can't remember right now. Should I be worried about clearances underneath the valve cover? I've heard of some people cutting out the baffeling, but I think they were using 1.6 RR.

just turn the motor over with a wrench with the valve coves just sitting on the heads.

I dont hear them hitting when I spin the motor over, but that doesn't mean that the tolerances are ok. I would assume that since the rockers aluminum, they must expand slightly ponce they are warmed up. I may be a little **** about this, but I just wanted to make sure before I screwed up something

i'm sorry to say this but roller rockers won't fit underneath a stock valve cover you can get a set of tall valve covers for around $50 depends on how you want them, i got 1.5 harland sharp full roller rocker arms on mine and the won't clear stock valve covers

I had to clearence the stock valve covers to fit Comp Pro Magnum 1.6 rockers. It's the width, not so much the ratio.

were you even able to bolt them down? I'm able to, I was more concerned about the height than the width. IIRC, the rockers I have are the "narrow" body ones.

Hey hey! I remember'd which ones they were!

Ya, they are narrow body. It doesn't say on there that I would need to use different valve covers though.
