1.6 roller tips ???

o.k. i have searched . could not find an answer . going to install comp. cams 1.6 roller tip rockers . have heard that i may have pushrod clearence problems . how do i determine if i will have this problem ? the eng. is an un-molested LO3 ( not for long ) . will be doing headers , valve seals/springs , MSD , motor mounts at the same time . anyway i have heard that the pushrod passages can be drilled out to 3/8" for clearence with out removing heads . if so how ?? sounds like it might be possible but how ?? i would be concerned with drilling chips falling into engine . has anyone actually done this with out removing heads ? i have no problems with my other plans except this . any comments/results on this subject would be great . car is a regular driver , not a racer . please respond with actual experience .

Re: 1.6 roller tips ???

I have these same rockers (Comp roller tips) and you will NOT have any problems with them. I have been running them for 3 years with absolutely no issue. I recommend them. If the car is a regular driver and you just want alittle more kick without a big tuning headache I recommend a Vortec/ baby- LT1 cam. It's not a big increase but with the 1.6 rockers it would give you this.
194/199 - .446/459 lift. 111 LSA

I would also recommend a S10 convertor for a bit more stall.
