Choking on hard acceleration

This has been a problem for awhile and I just let my car sit because I just got some money. This might be long because I am making some notes for myself to..

Months Ago - Car ran fine and than all the sudden when I tried starting it up the next morning it wouldn't run right at all. To keep it running I had to floor it and the rpm's would go up slowly. I replaced distributor cap, rotor, and the timing chain. I found out months later that someone disconnected my ignition coil wire at the time which could probably cause that when the battery is not disconnected.

Now- Timing is fine even though I might have put the timing chain on off one tooth. A couple of people said it might be my computer which I have no idea how to test that. I tested that MAP sensor with the car on motor off and it's reading 5volts. It is getting fuel but sometimes it smells really rich and it might be getting to much fuel or to little. I changed the spark plugs and the old ones look as if it was running rich...

Problem : Car sounds like it's missing but it runs fine on quarter throttle. If I get on it, it lags and sounds like it's going to die. Sometimes when I put it into gear it will just die.

theres a small video of it, hard to tell it's missing in the video but when I floored it, it died.

Re: Choking on hard acceleration

check your injectors, I had a similar problem with mine as it would fall on its face if you tried to stomp on it but would run somewhat ok if you just cruised around. I also found out that the injectors run in a series and it only takes one to shut the whole girl down.

How do I check the injectors? My car won't even start now which I think is the battery and or starter.

Re: Choking on hard acceleration

I got it started now, I had a sexy starter button I hooked up and somehow I think it kept shorting all the sudden. I just unhooked it and electrical taped it. The car is dumping way to much fuel and sounds like it's missing.
