Besides the Rear Main Seal and Roller Cam block, are there any other differences between an old 350 block and an L98?

Could I throw my CCQ-Jet that's on my LG4 onto an L98 in place of TPI and have a running, tuneable car?

'79-earlier had the dipstick on the driver's side.

Yes, you can put your LG4 system on the L98. The '87-up heads had the center two intake manifold mount bolts at a 72 degree angle, and centerbolt valve covers. But, that's the heads, you asked about the block.

Mine isn't exactly an L98, a little hairier, perhaps. But, the LG4 system runs it just fine. Tunes to a "T" to factory specs.
