Okay i need some info on remote starters...

My 1965 buick special was just recovered from a theft. The idiots pulled out the hole ignition and its gone. I have no idea how to hotwire but looks like they didnt eather so many wires. I was wondering i got a quote on a new ignition they said i was looking at $800 thats a bit pricey considering im not currently working (have no transportation). I was wondering about the Remote starters that you use under the hood they look like a trigger. Could i use that tempararly? And if so how would i shut the car off? Just my luck my FireBird has a blown head gasket about 5 months ago and i still havent got it fixed and my buick was stolen atleast i got it back. Any info on how i could wire the buick to start and shut off with one of those trigger starter things would really be to good use and any info on were i can get a new crate 2.8 or 3.1 would also be put to good use Thanks for looking at my problems

$800 for an ignition switch? Wow.
