Re: info on 5.7 350 upgrades
I'm going to say headers or cold air intake would be the most common items at your stage of things. Could get a higher gain out of a cam/lifter which should be a roller already in your motor I believe, but that would take more know how, tools, and time. Cam probably would prefer a tune also, but could possibly do an extra 30hp with it and the cam. Nitrous is the only other thing that comes to mind, but it'd have to be a used/not totally complete system for that price.

If it's a TPI car, it basically has a cold air intake so just the K&N would be good. On carb or TBI, I'm not sure if anyone makes much directly for these cars. I know Autozone, at least the one by me, now stocks a Spectre setup that may work for carb/TBI.

K&N - an expensive way to let more dirt into your engine. Put another way, an expensive downgrade.
Save your money for headers.

"Had to get it to the track to not forfeit a cash run" It ran good..
The next week my hooker 2460's came from the UPS truck and we saw a total 49whp gain over stock. Save your money buy GOOD headers and you will be amazed at the sound/performance.
