Re: serpentine setup on oldskool block
The only issues can think of are the reverse rotation
water pump and the acessesory bolt holes in the front of
the heads.
Might have to change sides for alternator, depending.
You'll need all the ribbed accessory pulleys.
Might have to drill and tap for a bolt or two.
Have done that before.

Re: serpentine setup on oldskool block
You will need to get a waterpump for the year of the pully set up...in your case you'll need to get the waterpump for an 89 camaro/firebird. I'm pretty sure you will need to alter your wiring for your alternator because it's on drivers side on your newer serpentine set up. Also, if the engine is too old as has been mentioned, it won't have the bolt holes in the heads you need to mount the upper brackets.

Re: serpentine setup on oldskool block
The last one I did was about 4 years ago that I converted
for a friend to the serp setup.
If you have to drill.
Had to drill one hole on pass side head. Use new setup
bracket as a pilot drill guide. Tape off about 1/2" above
drill tip as depth guide. Tap for 3/8" bolt or stud.
I used a stud and didn't break into water, if you do, use
sealant.
I had to move alt from pass to driver side. After rerouting
alt harness had enough not to have to splice.
