Howto use timing light?
From what I have read in the manual and such I have to disconnect this wire before doing it. Also on my VECI label or whatever it says 0 degrees BTDC. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00068OJZS that is the timing light I ordered and it should arrive very soon. From my understanding you put the one clip on #1 spark plug wire and it flashes for everytime number 1 fires. Where do I aim it and which way to turn the distributor?

Re: Howto use timing light?
I am guessing since it wants it 0 degress BTDC I locate the 0 on the timing marker and the line on the harmonic balancer has to line up with that everytime it flashes? How can I clean the timing marker to see the 0 without taking everything apart?

Re: Howto use timing light?
The line on the balancer corresponds to the position of the crank. When that mark lines up with the 0 degree mark on the timing marker then the number 1 piston is at top dead center.

Re: Howto use timing light?
You may want to use a little bit of white out on your timing mark and balancer. It will help you see them easier with the timing light.
