I have removed the electric fuel pump from the tank since I repaced the 3.1FI with a 350 carb engine so of coarse I put a manual fuel pump. However when I pulled the sending unit the person who had the car before had it zipped tied together. So the way it is my gage reads full all the time. What wires do I need to goto sending unit to make it work. there are 3 wire 1black, 1grey, and 1blk and purple I think. any help would be great I am confused and not sure what to do

 

If it's reading full then it's connected, it would read empty if disconnected.
You'll have to replace the sending unit.
