A/C Bypass Pullie
My brother just got a 89 gta with the l98 350 in it. First day he got it the belt broke. come to find out the a/c compressor is seized. does anyone know of a shorter belt size we could use to bypass the compressor or would my only option be to get the bypass pullie for $30.00. I called the junkyard and they have a compressor for $50.00 with 30 day warranty. Any suggestions. I would much perfer just to get a shorter belt if even possible? thanks

You can't reroute the belt without the A/C compressor, since the tensioner needs it there in order to work. This is how mine is routed, with the smog pump removed:

ward.. i have my belt the samr way... is there any problem with that setup??? my buddy thinks it wont work that way and im jones to drive it but am on a budget.. anything will help.. thx....
