86 z28 smop pump removal

Is there any posts on here about the removal of the smog pump, charcoal canister, and all the tubing and pipes associated with this? Can this stuff be removed without affecting the way the car runs?

A.I.R. pump, yes (but it's illegal to do so in all 50 states unless off-road use only).

Charcoal vapor canister - no good reason to remove it if it is a street driven car. It vents the fuel tank, so if removed, you need to provide an alternate means of doing that without putting fumes into the car.
