talking to my long time mechanic, guy I've been taking my camaro to since I got it, 10 years ago. He offered me the following for $1000:

posi rear with disc brakes out of a third gen firebird
gm 350 crate engine that was in the same firebird, low miles, no intake
tpi setup with ecm (can't remember where this was from)

I think I'm going to need a proportioning valve for the rear replacement. But from what I've read upgrading to the TPI can be a major headache.

Any thoughts on the deal and/or input on incidentals involved in switching it all out?
