Will these underdrive pulleys fit on my '89 GTA? (Canton)

Hows it going? I want to purchase a set of underdrive pulleys for my car in the near future and right now I've got my eye on a set of Zoops pulleys. Before I stick with my final answer on the Zoops set, I was wondering if anyone might be able to assist/advise me on another set of pulleys made by Canton Racing Inc. I've never heard of anyone using them before and since I see alot on this forum about how other underdrive pulleys don't really boost HP much, I was wondering if these might make a noticable difference; if they will fit of course which is where I'm going to need assistance . I had to choose each pulley (w/p, crank, p/s, and alt.) individually since Canton doesn't sell 'sets'. Here are the links for each pulley and necessary hardware:

Crank Pulley: http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...ion&key=73-140
and the necessary crank pulley mount: http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...ion&key=73-110

W/P Pulley: http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...ion&key=73-150

Alternator Pulley: http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...ion&key=73-205

P/S Pulley: http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...ion&key=73-273 (not too sure about this particular pulley since it appears to be too narrow to fit my serpentine setup can anyone clarify this )
the necessary flange mount for .611" shaft water pumps which the pulley mounts to: http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...on&key=73-273F

I'd really appreciate any feedback on these pullies and if they do fit, I'll gladly be the guinea pig in trying them out.

Thanks in advance.

I decided I'd e-mail and ask them myself since I was anxious for an answer . In the response e-mail, I was told that they will work on our cars with the long style water pump only which i'm guessing most of us have . It won't be for a couple of months before I actually acquire these pulleys since I have to save up some $$$ but I'll let you guys know how they perform when I do.

Later,

Phoenix

Doing some research these last few days on UD pulleys, I found out that they can cause cooling as well as charging problems; although some people say that they have experienced no negative side effects at all. I was wondering if the pulley sizes I chose for my car are correct to provide good charging and cooling. Can anyone help me on this? Here are the sizes for each pulley:

Crank - 5" Dia.

Water Pump - 4" Dia.

Alternator - 2.5" Dia.

Power Steering - 6" Dia.

The Crank to Accessory Ratios are:

Water pump 80% of crank speed
Power steering 62% of crank speed
Alternator 160% of crank speed.

Thanks in advance,

Ruben M.

Are these pulleys too underdriven compared the stock pulleys? I am aware that there are other threads on this matter with the UD pulleys on this board and I'm not asking for repeated information just your P.O.V. since I'm looking to purchase them real soon. Going back to my previous post and comparing the dia. of the canton pulleys as opposed to the stock ones, it looks like I might be facing cooling issues. Do you guys agree? The alternator pulley looks to be a bit smaller than stock so charging shouldn't be an issue (I could be wrong though).

Thanks,

Phoenix

I have a set of the March Performance underdrive pulley's and only thing thing I've had a problem with is charging at idle. I got the 3 piece set and havent really noticed any perfomance, although it does seem to rev a tad quicker. I'm not sure of the pulley diameter, but it's the 3 piece set.

Yeah hopefully these pulleys will perform like they say they will . If I don't notice a little more 'oomph' from my car with these then that must mean that pulleys really don't boost hp unless they're supposed to "work better" with other mods.
