No fuel pressure
No fuel pressure
Hey guys,
I recently aquired a 1990 RS Camaro 305w/4speed. The engine was in very bad condition basicly leaking out of every hole it had. So i took it apart down to pistons and put all brand new gaskets on it.
Since then i have put it all back together. When i first tried getting it started i had no fuel pressure because i forgot to connect the ground from the body to the battery. After that i was able to get it started and it ran fine. I left it alone for a few weeks and went back to working on it again find out i have no fuel pressure again??? all the grounds are hooked up and i ve prectically fiddled with everyone making sure it connected right.
Does anyone have any ideas on was could of happened? or know which wire i can mess with that go to the fuel pump?
Thanks alot
Brandon

Re: No fuel pressure
Check to make sure you have power to the fuel pump if so check the fuel pump to make sure it is good ( the only way to pull it is to drop the axle
) if the pump is good and your fuel filters are good, I'm willing to bet your havin a problem with VATS.
You may have to pick up one of those VATS bypasses from Hawks Third Gen for 25 bucks or so.... But that's just my two cents....

The rubber line that connects the pump to the hardline might have split. It happened once on my car. Do you get any pressure at all?? Can you hear the pump running?
