dies under load
dies under load
i just put a new carb on my 83 camaro 2.8l v6. its just temp until i finish the rebuild on a 350 i picked up. well the carb is off an 81 or 82 cavalier but has the same bolt pattern ext. so i swaped it out, hooked all my stuff back up and it ran fine for a couple days now it dies when ever i put it under a load or give it alot of gas. my vacuums are all hooked up right, we put a new fuel pump on, new fuel line fromthe pump to carb. cant figure out wtf is wrong with it....if i power break it, it will start roasting the tires then sometimes 20-40 seconds into it, it will die. and once it starts dieing, it keeps doing it quicker and quicker. me and a couple machanics i know have looked at it and cant figure it out. any ideas? it dies going up any type of hill to. it seems to be running out of fuel, or acts like it is. the car was a fully rebuilt carb. and my chokes work and i have fairly new plugs, wires, cap & rotor
