I have installed an MSD 6al ignition system in my 88 IROC 350. I have an Accel distributor I'm planning on installing in place of the 150k mile original. I tried to use 'Search' for recomendations on a better Ignition Control Module and had issues with getting SEARCH to send me links with MSD. I did find one that mentioned that the MSD sysetem bypasses the ICM except when you physically switch the MSD system off? If this is so, does it then not really matter what ICM I install?
Also; how thick of a film of dialectric grease do I smear on between the ignition module and the dizzy floor?
