fan in shroud quest?

fan in shroud quest?

how far in is a mechanical fan supposed to be inside the shroud? i have mine flush with the shroud . it dont go in at all. is it supposed to? which is better cooling on the radiator?

As long as it's far enough in so that the fan blades don't draw air from around the engine bay or anywhere else, other than through the radiator, is fine.

it aint even near the radiator at all. should i move it closer to run cooler?

The blades should be centered under the lip of the shroud.
