can I put my 305 roller set up in any 350 or does it have to be a newer one?also,would my 305 tpi system fit on a 350 vortec?

 

If it is the factory roller you are refering to you would have to have the 87newer block. Only these blocks have the bosses for the cam retainer plate and lifter "spider" to bolt to.
As for the tpi, you would have to have a tpi base from edelbrock or SDPC because the vortec utilizes taller intake ports and only four vertical intake bolts on each side.

 

okay so any 87 and up 350 I can put my roller cam into?and on the vortec 350's can I change the heads to my 305 or are the blocks different?

 

in other words what year 350's can I get to put my roller cam set up and tpi system in it,I just want to change out the block.my car is a 90 formula 5.0 5 speed

Are you up for a road trip?? JK. Any 350 block newer than 1987 will have the bosses you are looking for . The trruck motors did not have the roller cam but gm cast all 350 blocks after 87 with the provisions for rollers. Good luck!
