Oil Pressure Switch?

ive been trying to figure out why my oil pressure gauge isn't working in my camaro and i've been searching through the site. i own a 92 camaro rs with a 305 carb. i do not see anything like the bell shaped sender unit anywhere near my distributor, and the only other one i see if about the oil filter, is this the oil pressure switch? if so why does it look different than the part from autozone?

Re: Oil Pressure Switch?

That's the OP switch for the fuel pump. There is one on the block, behind the intake, on the drivers side, down low, that runs the gauge.

Re: Oil Pressure Switch?

that's your oil pressure switch. it works your gauge and I here your fuel pump after oil pressure is there.
my gauge on my 91 wasn't working just changed out that sensor and now it works fine.

Re: Oil Pressure Switch?

If it's a 3 wire, yes, it is the combined sensor for the gauge and the pressure switch.

Earlier models the switch and sender were seperate units. Later were combined into 1.
