No Spark..need some help/input

No Spark..need some help/input
Morning all,
I have a 1989 bird with 383 with Accel Super Ram. The other day while on an easy drive to work the car backfired and just quit working. Anyways I suspect a timing problem, so I hooked up my timing lamp to each of the eight spark plug wires and I have no spark, (the timing lamp didn’t light) I have the inductor type timing lamp.
I have a MSD 6AL
I have a MSD Blaster SS
So my question is how can I troubleshoot this no spark condition? How can I check out the 6AL or how can I check out the MSD Blaster? I know this is a stupid question, I just can’t remember the correct way. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
