Car Blows Smoke
I have a 87 IROC Camaro with a 350ci L98 tpi motor. I changed the stock intake manifold to an eldelbrock intake manifold and put brand new Bosch injectors with bosch spark plugs, msd plug wires, and have checked the timing of the motor. The car tends to blow lots of smoke even when warmed up, I dont know if its how the injectors were installed, or if im running to much fuel pressure and having the car possibly run rich.

Re: Car Blows Smoke
What color is the smoke? It could be number of things, water or too much gas could be it. Does it smell like too much fuel? Does it run rough or smooth? Also check your vaccum lines.
The more info the better.

Re: Car Blows Smoke
The smoke is white and smells like fuel, It really stinks, but the car starts right up and it runs pretty smooth and sounds like its being drowned out by something.
Thanks for your help.

White smokes means coolant leaking into cylinders. If it were me, I'd put a vaccum gauge on there and see where it sits cause it will give you a good indication if you have a manifold leak. Than I'd do a compression test on all cylinders, than lastly I'd do a leakdown test.

Re: Car Blows Smoke
Your intake gasket might be leaking. Make sure there no coolant in the oil or you'll be looking for a new engine soon.

Re: Car Blows Smoke
Antifreeze destroys bearings. I was saying not to run it that way for long or he will need a new motor. Sure, if he catches it quickly, fixes it, and changes the oil a couple times it should be OK.
