Heat Soaking? VATS?
I have a 350 tpi formula firebird. I can crank it up no problems and sometimes it will hit instantly and other times it will take a few seconds. But anyway after it warms up it will not start until it cools down(about 5 mins or so). I have replaced the ignition moduel, pickup coil, I have checked the vapor release valve, plugs, plug wires, maf and have set the timing. So could heat soaking be the problem, I didn't think it was the problem because it has stock manifolds. Or could it be the VATS key system? Please help!!!

Re: Heat Soaking? VATS?
Is it turning over or is it like the starter not engaging. My 89 5.7 gta had a proble, that I thought was the vats but once I replaced the starter it corrected the problem. I had an issue with the car turning over 4 or 5 times to start but it turned out to be a dirty clogged fuel filter.
