Fuel filter.... again???

I was having troubles starting my firebird....I had not been started for about 3 months.... and I though at first the fuel pump was bad...It would never start right away....usually take about 3 tries before it finally turned over...

I thought about changing the fuel filter before going through the troubles of dropping the tank and changing pump... when I took it off...It was clogged pretty bad...so I replaced it with a new one...and THAT seemed to fix the problem...The car was starting right away everyday for about 2 weeks on the first try..I was so happy I didnt have to change the pump...

NOW again...I am having starting problems
Could it be that the filter is clogged again (so soon)??? maybe tank's bottom is full of crap from sitting for so long??

Give me your ideas/input

Could be the sock on the inside of your tank is hemmed up pretty badly. Or the pump went. Or you clogged the filter again.

I have to agree. Also, the rubber hose that connects your your pump to the metal tube may be split and leaking.
