I seem to have a problem with the thread depth on the heads. The valvecover bolts stop about 1/4 inch from the top of the cover. (centerbolt)

My bolts for my P/S pump bracket do the same on the front of the head, they bottom out about 1/4 inch shy of contact with the bracket.

What gives?
